Practice Profile

The practice was established at the start of 2002 to provide a service to clients in the property and construction industries in Scotland. The scope of activities covers the full range of investigative, design and drawing production for all Civil and Structural Engineering projects. This ranges from feasibility through to completion and aftercare.

The firm was established by Vivion McMahon, who had worked for various consultants in the Edinburgh area for over twenty-five years. He had been responsible for projects up to £30m for public, private clients some of the most prestigious projects across the central belt of Scotland and the north of England. His ambition is to maintain a personal involvement in all projects.

A gap was identified in the market often over-looked by the major consultants and beyond the scope of the individuals The practice was established to service these provided a level of service in small to medium size developments covering projects up to £2.0m.

Having started with a core staff of three the firm presently operates with a staff of six technical and administrative personnel.

With the support of fellow professionals in related fields the practice is also able to bring to bear services in the specialist fields of Geotechnics and Transportation where a project requires it.

It is the practice’s aim to provide a high level of service and commitment with a technical flair driven by an awareness of commercial issues.

Since being established the firm has been awarded over two hundred contracts from a large variety of private and corporate clients. With current resources, it's placed to handle projects throughout the east central belt with a contract value up to two million pounds.
